Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Who we are
Vanestream is operated by 1001790558 Ontario Inc., a corporation based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("Vanestream", formerly "Linkertown") (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use vanestream.com and the Vanestream product, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Two roles: your data and your audience's data
For your own account we decide how your information is used. For people who visit a creator's page or join a creator's mailing list, the creator decides what to do with that information and Vanestream processes it on the creator's behalf. If you signed up to a creator's list and want your data removed, use the unsubscribe link in their email or contact the creator; you can also write to us and we will pass the request along.
What we collect
- Account details: email, name, username, profile image, and the sign-in method you use.
- Content you create: pages, links, templates, mailing lists, campaigns and settings.
- Audience data you add or collect: subscriber emails and names, and the sign-up source. We never sell it.
- Page analytics: when someone opens a creator's page or clicks a link we record the page, link, country, referrer, device type and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. We do not store IP addresses against these events.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, never card numbers.
- Connected accounts you authorize (for example Instagram, Meta Ads, Spotify): access tokens are stored encrypted at rest by our database provider and used only to perform the actions you request.
- AI features: the text you send to the assistant and the account data it needs to answer are sent to Google's Gemini API or Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply. We also save your conversations with the assistant (your messages, its replies and the actions it took, with passwords, tokens and other people's email addresses removed) so we can find where it helps and where it gets things wrong. Only the Vanestream team reads them. You can delete them any time in Settings > Privacy.
- Account activity: when you sign in (time and sign-in method) and how you use the dashboard (which sections you open, for how long, and whether on a phone, tablet or desktop), so we can understand how the product is used and improve it. We do not store IP addresses or browser details with it.
- Technical data: error reports and basic device or browser information, used to keep the service working.
How we use it
To provide and secure the service, take payments, send service messages, prevent abuse, and do what you tell us to do (publish a page, send a blast). We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Community listing and public profiles
Pages you publish are public. On the free plan, your live pages can also appear in the Vanestream Community (vanestream.com/community) and in search, with your name, username and profile image. You can unpublish any page to take it out. On a paid plan you choose whether your account is listed, and if a paid plan ends your live pages are listed again; we tell you a few days before. Your public profile shows badges by default and visitor or fan counts only if you turn them on, always rounded (for example “1k+”); ad spend and exact numbers are never shown. Anonymous comparisons (“better than 70% of pages your size”) never reveal anyone else's numbers. Streaming profiles you link are private to your account. Change all of this in Settings > Privacy.
Cookies and tracking
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, we ask before using any analytics or advertising cookies: until you press Accept on the banner, product analytics (PostHog) and our Meta and TikTok pixels stay off, and if you decline they never run. Pixels that a creator adds to their own page belong to that creator and load on that page regardless of this choice. Elsewhere, these tools run by default so we can measure our ads; you can opt out by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser or by emailing privacy requests to our support address. Essential cookies, such as keeping you signed in, are always used. Where product analytics run, they record which Vanestream pages you view, the main actions you take (for example creating or publishing a page), and how fast pages load. On a sample of visits to our marketing and sign-up pages, and to the page editor, ad campaign and domain setup screens, we may also record the session (what is shown on screen) to find where people get stuck; everything you type into a field is hidden from these recordings. Analytics are tied to your account id, never to your name or email, and only run on Vanestream's own pages, never on a creator's page. Creators who add their own ad pixel to a page are the controllers of the data it collects and are responsible for how they use it and for any notice or consent their audience requires. Vanestream's own Meta pixel also runs on creators' public pages, under the same choice as above (it stays off in opt-in regions until you accept, and off if you decline), so that ads a creator runs through Vanestream can be measured. It records which page and song you viewed and which listen button or sign-up form you used, never anything you type, and it is kept separate from the creator's own pixel.
Service providers we use
These companies process data on our behalf, only to run Vanestream:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting.
- Stripe: payments.
- Vercel and its domain registrars (such as Name.com and Tucows): if you buy a domain from us, the name, email, phone and address you give are sent to the registrar and the domain's registry, as ICANN requires. Public lookups hide them where the ending allows.
- Amazon Web Services (SES): sending email blasts.
- Google (Firebase Storage, Gemini API): file storage and AI features.
- Anthropic (Claude API): AI features.
- PostHog: product analytics and a sample of session recordings, only where tracking is allowed (see above).
- Sentry: error monitoring.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile): bot protection on sign-up, sign-in and mailing list forms.
- Meta, TikTok, Spotify: only when a creator connects them.
Where data is processed
We are based in Canada, and our providers operate mainly in the United States and other regions. By using Vanestream you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection rules differ from yours.
How long we keep it
We keep account and content data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your pages, mailing lists, subscribers, domains, analytics and saved AI chats are deleted straight away, and your subscription is cancelled. Copies in database backups are removed on our provider's normal backup schedule. We keep billing records that tax law requires, held by Stripe.
Your rights and choices
From your profile you can download a copy of your data and delete your account at any time (step by step, including Facebook, Instagram and Meta Ads: Delete your data). You can also ask us to correct or delete data, or to explain how it is used, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. If you live in the EU, UK, Canada or California you have rights to access, correct, delete and object under your local law and we honor them for everyone.
Age
Vanestream is for people aged 16 and over. Advertising and automation tools are for adults only. If you believe a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Changes
If we make material changes we will notify you in the product or by email before they take effect. The effective date above changes whenever this policy does.
